  7. I notice that one of the 10 Ener/Gems is "Believe in a Power from out of this world." Is this a religious program?
No, Freedom to Achieve is not a religious program. According to Gallup in 1999, the number of people professing a belief in some higher power has remained fairly constant for decades, at about 95%. But it doesn't have to be God. The belief can be in the aims and goals of the group. It can be the mission of the organization to which individuals belong. The key is in believing in something beyond yourself.

  8. Who created Freedom to Achieve?
    J. Warren McClure (Mac to those who know him) created the Freedom to Achieve system. He said of himself, "I began as a salesman and ended up owning and publishing newspapers. My career has included being a marketing vice president, an educator-author, a motivational speaker, and a philanthropist. After 'retiring' at age 55 [in 1975], I became a consultant and leader of seminars for professional development."

In this rather modest self-assessment, Mac fails to mention that as a philanthropist he and his wife Lois have given away more than $30,000,000. He also passes over rather quickly the fact that he was the largest individual shareholder in Gannett Co., Inc., and that it was this major communications conglomerate that saw his services as marketing vice president.

Mac wrote a manuscript in the 1970s: Ideas I Borrowed to Make Millions. In it he laid out the ten principles he calls Ener/Gems, which he says account for his life of fulfillment and accomplishment. These ten Ener/Gems form the backbone of the Freedom to Achieve career enhancement system, first published in 1980 and soon to be fully propagated for delivery in the 21st century by 21st century means. ^Top^
